Delhi to Paris: Corporate Vision Document on Climate Change

TERI's initiative to formulate the Indian corporates’ vision document for tackling climate change will be presented at CoP21 in Paris later this year.
The first phase of the project began at The High Level Corporate Dialogue (HLCD) 2015, themed ‘Delhi to Paris: Corporate Vision on Climate Change’ in February, 2015. The dialogue witnessed participation from over 100 top corporates to brainstorm their contribution in tackling Climate Change.
We are now in the second phase of the discussions and moving forward with the formulation of the corporate vision document on climate change. This document will table Corporate India’s experience, best practices, current interventions and scope for improvement; thereby strengthening India’s position with regard to climate change on global platform. A series of corporate consultations, followed by a national level seminar in October, 2015 will result in the development of this comprehensive document.
Dr. Prodipto Ghosh, Distinguished Fellow, TERI & Former Secretary, Ministry of Environment & Forest, Government of India will lead the project. We are in talks with the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India to adopt the document. This document would primarily focus on 4 key areas: Energy Efficiency, Renewable Energy, Water Availability and Financing for Sustainable Development.
